Pont-canals, aqueducts that carry boats, are not uncommon on the French waterways. One such pont-canal can be found in Troussey. The Troussey aqueduct was constructed to carry the Canal de la Marne au Rhin over the River Meuse. Built relatively recently in 1969 the new bridge is a replacement for an earlier pont-canal whose remains can be seen nearby.

(Wanderlust crossed Pont-canal de Troussey on the 22nd of July and on the 20th of September 2015.)
